More information about Amontillado del Puerto 1/10 G. Obregón 0,5 l - Emilio Lustau

With the Emilio Lustau Amontillado del Puerto 1/10 G. Obregón comes a first-class sherry in the wine glass. Here it offers a wonderfully dense, golden yellow color. Swiveling the glass, this sherry reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. In the glass, this Emilio Lustau sherry reveals aromas of fruit bread, raisins, dried fruit and prunes, complemented by cinnamon, black tea and vanilla. This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 6 grams of residual sugar. As expected from a wine of this reputation, this Spaniard naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful sherry is wonderfully crisp. Due to its present fruit acid, the Amontillado del Puerto 1/10 G. Obregón is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this ripening sherry from the wine-growing region of Andalusia, more precisely from Jerez DO, finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Amontillado del Puerto 1/10 G. Obregón by Emilio Lustau

This powerful sherry from Spain is vinified from the Palomino Fino grape variety. In Andalusia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. The Amontillado del Puerto 1/10 G. Obregón is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Spaniard breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of Old World wines. When perfect physiological maturity is assured, the grapes for the Amontillado del Puerto 1/10 G. Obregón are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters.

Enjoy this sherry from Spain best tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, Thai cucumber salad or baked sheep's cheese parcels.
