The Cava Brut Reserva Rosado of Vilarnau from the Spanish wine region of Catalonia is vinified from the grape varieties Trepat (85%) and Pinot Noir (15%) - a wonderfully elegant and juicy cava.
In the glass, this sparkling wine shines in a bright raspberry pink with pink shades. The pearl layer rises in fine, persistent pearl cords. The powerful bouquet is dominated by ripe red fruits - especially red currant, raspberry and cherries. On the palate, too, the wonderfully juicy fruit fullness is presented and is accompanied by hints of brioche. The balance between the very subtle sweetness and the fresh acidity is perfectly balanced.
Vinification of Vilarnau Cava Brut Reserva Rosado Barcelona
The harvest for the grapes (Trepat and Pinot Noir) starts in September. Once the harvested material has arrived in the Vilarnau wine cellar, the mash is first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then begins the second, traditional bottle fermentation. This wine is aged for at least 9 months in bottle. Finally, this cava is degorged and can leave the Vilarnau vineyard.
