Cantina di Soave

The Cantina di Soave was founded in 1898 by a few northern Italian winemakers.

The union

The winemakers wanted to pool their knowledge and, of course, get the best for themselves through skilful trading. Due to the love for wine and the certain skill, Cantina die Soave soon belonged to the leading cooperatives in Italy. The first major award soon followed - in the 1930s, the cooperative was named the official purveyor to the court of the Italian royal family. Until today, the association has been able to maintain its good reputation and is still one of the most prestigious wine companies in Italy. In the meantime, the Cantina di Soave consists of more than 2000 members who cultivate a total of more than 6000 hectares, spread over five valleys in the province. Those who have so much passion for wine naturally also attach great importance to technology. The latest cellar technology is standard and thus guarantees the highest quality. However, value is also placed on tradition and so the red wines are allowed to mature for some time in wooden barrels.

Veneto diversity characterizes this wine region

The wine region Veneto, which also includes the province of Verona,  is the third largest wine-growing region in Italy. Idyllically located in the northeast of the country, it is home to some of Italy's best-known wines and is the most diverse wine-growing region. There is no such thing as a "typical" wine from Veneto. Because of the very special geography of the country, one finds here very different landscapes and climatic conditions. Whether from the Dolomites over Lake Garda down to the Po plain or the Adriatic coast - each section offers new conditions for an excellent wine. Some of the famous wine regions are for example

The regions of the Cantina di Soave

The winegrowers' cooperative cultivates vineyards in five valleys in the province of Verona. For a long time, the white wines from Soave were considered mass and consumer wines, but today they bring a remarkable quality. The Valpolicella region is certainly the most famous wine-growing area.
