More information about Chardonnay Grande Reserve - Winzerhof Stahl
With the Winzerhof Stahl Chardonnay Grande Reserve comes a first-class white wine into the swirled glass. In this it shows a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. If you swirl the glass, you can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, because it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. In the glass, this white wine from Winzerhof Stahl reveals aromas of vineyard peach, apples, pears, peaches and plums, complemented by gingerbread spice, cocoa bean and black tea. This dry white wine from Winzerhof Stahl is just right for wine lovers who prefer to drink bone dry. The Chardonnay Grande Reserve already comes quite close to this, as it was vinified with just 1 gram of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully creamy. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Grande Reserve reveals itself to be exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Franconia finally thrills with considerable reverberation.
Vinification of the Chardonnay Grande Reserve of Winzerhof Stahl
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Chardonnay. Only the best grape material was harvested for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Winzerhof Stahl. The development of the grapes for this wine from Chardonnay is influenced to a very high degree by the climate of the growing region. In Franconia, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Chardonnay Grande Reserve are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.
