Crios Malbec - Susana Balbo

Susana Balbo's Crios Malbec is an excellent, varietally pure and balanced red wine from Argentina's Mendoza wine region. 

In the glass, this wine shimmers in an appealing dark red with violet highlights. The expressive bouquet reveals notes of juicy blackberries, ripe cherries and crushed blueberries - subtly accented by floral notes of violets and vanilla. On the palate, this wine has a wonderful balance between the dark fruit richness and the silky tannin structure. The balanced body lets itself be wonderfully taken in by the fresh character of this Argentine red wine. The finish awaits with a pleasant length. 

Vinification of the Susana Balbo Crios Malbec

After the careful harvest of the Malbec grapes in the vineyards of Susana Balbo in Mendoza, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. At a controlled temperature, the mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks. This wine still undergoes a maceration of 25 days. Finally, this red wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barriques.
