The Fiulot Barbera d 'Asti DOCG by Prunotto shines intensely and vividly ruby red in the glass. This Barbera presents itself with typical vinous and fruity aromas of plums and cherries. On the palate it pleases with its beautiful structure, full-bodied, gentle tannins and the typical acidity of the variety are well integrated and give this classic Piedmontese red wine a youthful character. The finish is long and fruity.
Vinification of the Fiulot Barbera d 'Asti DOCG by Prunotto
For this pure Barbera, the grapes grow in a vineyard in Agliano d 'Asti, on very bright, loose and light soils, rich in clay and lime marl, which, together with modern cellar techniques, favors the sparse character and the fragrant taste of Barbera Fiulot.
After harvesting the grapes are destemmed and pressed and macerated on the skins for a week at a controlled temperature. After deduction from the pomace, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation is carried out completely before the beginning of winter. The wine is then aged for a few months in a stainless steel tank before being bottled and sold in spring.
