The Flonheimer Weisser Riesling from the Espenhof winery presents itself in the glass in an intense straw yellow with greenish reflections and delights with its straight and lively bouquet. This contains the wonderful aromas of pears, crisp apples and citrus fruit. These fruit notes are accompanied by subtle earthy and herbal nuances.
This white wine is perfectly balanced with its vital acidity and dry fruit.
Vinification for the Flonheimer Weisser Riesling from the Espenhof Winery
This white wine is made from Riesling of the locations Flonheimer Binger Berg „Kisselberg“ and Uffhofener La Roche. The vines grow there on the southern slope on soils with a sandy loess loam surface. In the underground, shellfish limestone and rocky gravel soils on Kisselberg provide an intense minerality.
The grapes for this white wine are hand-picked, gently pressed and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks and barrels, including Wachau oak. Subsequently, the wine is fermented slowly and stored in the whole-yeast storage until bottled
.Food recommendation for the Flonheimer Weisser Riesling from the Espenhof Winery
Enjoy this dry white wine as an aperitif, with light appetizers, Asian dishes, grilled chicken breast in cream and lemon sauce, chanterelles or porcini dumplings.
