Antoniolo's Gattinara DOCG glows in clear ruby red glass with garnet-coloured reflections. The bouquet releases complex aromas, fruity and spicy scents reminiscent of red fruit and flint jam, hints of vanilla with mineral nuances. On the palate, this elegant and refined spouse is rich in taste, harmoniously equipped with silky tannins, energetic and lively stimulating, with fine minerality in the background. The finish is long, soft and sustainable.
Vinification of Antoniolo's DOCG
This Gattinara is the base wine of the Antoniolo winery. For this wine from the north of Piedmont, 100% Nebbiolo grapes are vinified, which grow exclusively in the estate's own vineyards. The soils are mainly of volcanic origin, the vineyards are in an ideal south-west orientation. The wine is aged for 42 months in the wine cellar, including 30 months in large wooden barrels and then another 12 months in bottle storage before being sold.
Antonilo produces about 18,000 bottles per year from the DOCG spouse
