Stefan Bönsch's Pinot Gris is an unusual white wine from Saxony. Already on the nose, this wine from the Elbe region impresses with its exotic scent of blood oranges, apricots and some honey, on the palate it presents itself full-bodied creamy with a delicate note of ripe tannins due to the partial storage in a wooden barrel. Long and finesse finish.
Vinification of Pinot Gris by Stefan Bönsch
The grapes for this exquisite Pinot Gris grow on Burgberg Niederwartha, a historic vineyard on the north side of the Elbe, to which Stefan Bönsch has breathed new life. They were harvested very maturely and aged to 50% in Saxon oak barrels.
