The barrel-aged La Fornace Rosso Toscano from the wine-growing region of Tuscany presents itself in the glass in a dense ruby red. If you tilt the glass slightly, you can see a transition of the color towards brick red at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. If you swirl the glass, this red wine reveals a high level of density and richness, which can be seen in the strong stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Carpineto offers aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, morello cherries, mulberries and black cherries, complemented by dark chocolate, oriental spices and gingerbread spice. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into clay soils. La Fornace Rosso Toscano is an Old World wine through and through, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, La Fornace Rosso Toscano is matured for another 30 months in American oak barrels.
