In the glass, this wine captivates with a deep dark cherry red and ruby red highlights. In the nose, aromas typical of grape varieties unfold after sweetly ripened fruits - especially blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant - accompanied by fine notes of spices. Very elegant with a powerful body, this Chilean red wine plays around the palate. The ripened tannins are velvety soft and harmonize perfectly with the dense fruit and the fine spiciness of the bouquet. The spicy nuances give this wine further fullness and structure, which stretch into the aromatic, balanced and long reverberation.
Vinification of Cabernet SauvignonTorres Las Mulas
From April / May, the harvest of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes begins in the Valle Central wine-growing region. The harvested material is immediately taken to the wine cellar and first crushed cold. This removes the first aromas, colour pigments and gentle tannins from the berry peels. At a controlled temperature (26 degrees Celsius), the mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 8 days. After that, this wine remains on the mash to extract further aromas and color. The shell contact is 20 days. Finally, this red wine matures for a total of 6 months in French oak barrels.
