More information

The Les Racines Gigondas is presented in a dense, dark shiny ruby red in the glass. The fruity aromatic bouquet of Les Racines Gigondas AOC by Vignobles Brunier is reminiscent of cherries, dark plums and berries with fine mineral notes.

The seductive taste of Les Racines Gigondas impresses with concentrated grape fruit (soft cherries, wild berries), soft fullness and structure. A perfectly balanced red wine with a beautiful finish length and impressive potential.

Vinification of Les Racines by the Brunier family

At the Brunier-Weingut Les Pallières, all grapes are harvested by hand and selectively. In the winery, the berries are gently squeezed, partially destemmed and traditionally fermented for about 25 to 30 days at controlled temperatures in concrete tubs and wooden barrels. After fermentation, the mash is pressed in pneumatic presses, the wines undergo biological acid degradation and first mature for about ten months in concrete and wooden barrels. They are then pumped into large wood fodder to mature for another seven to nine months. Almost 2 years after harvesting, the wines are unfiltered and poured onto the bottles. The wines are still resting for a few weeks and are finally released for trading.
