The Moscatel grape variety of La Causa has its home in the beautiful Valle del Itata - located in the Chilean wine region Valle Sur.
A bright straw yellow with golden highlights lies in the glass of this wine. The lush bouquet unfolds intense aromas of summer flowers, juicy ripened citrus fruits - especially lime and grapefruit - as well as grapes. The racial acidity refreshes the palate and is harmoniously integrated into the crisp body. The fermentation on the berry peels gives this Chilean white wine a wonderful structure and the storage on the fine yeast a silky fullness. The finale comes with a pleasant length.
Vinification of La Causa Moscatel
In April, the optimally matured Moscatel grapes are harvested in Valle del Itata and initially strictly selected in the wine cellar. The material to be harvested is then gently squeezed and fermented for 7 days at a temperature of 16 to 18 degrees in a stainless steel tank. This wine then remains on the berry peels for 5 days. Finally, this white wine is aged in the steel tanks for 12 months on the fine yeast.
