The Pian Romualdo Barbera d 'Alba DOC by Prunotto glows in a glass of red violet with ruby red reflections. On the nose, rich scents, aromas of ripe, black fruits, blackberries and spices unfolded. On the palate, this Barbera d 'Alba presents itself full-bodied and harmonious, with round, soft tannins and good structure. The finish is long and sustainable.
Vinification of Pian Romualdo Barbera d 'Alba DOC by Prunotto
In the municipality of Monforte d 'Alba, at about 500 m asl, is the Pian Romualdo cultivation area. The soils are very bright, especially marl and very calcareous. Here are the vineyards where the Barbera grapes for the wine of the same name thrive.
After destemming and pressing, the grapes are macerated on the skins under temperature control for 7 to 8 days. The ageing in large oak barrels and French oak barriques takes 12 months, followed by a further 4 months of bottle ageing after the marriage of the wines.
Food recommendation for Pian Romualdo Barbera d 'Alba DOC by Prunotto
Enjoy this classic red wine from Alba with meat preparations, roasts, game dishes and matured cheeses. We recommend opening the Pian Romualdo 2 hours before serving
