The Ramitello Biferno Rosso DOC by Di Majo Norante is intensely ruby red with violet reflections in the glass. The bouquet reveals fragrances of ripe soft cherries, juicy blackberries and other dark forest berries, plum, forest floor and hints of leather and liquorice. On the palate, this red wine from the Molise is fantastically round, juicy, full-bodied, the fruity and spicy taste nuances are perfectly blended, the balance between ripe tannin and living fruit acid makes the Ramitello a real topcuvée.
Vinification of Ramitello Biferno Rosso DOC by Di Majo Norante
This red cru by Di Majo Norante comes from Montepulciano d 'Abruzzo 80% and Aglianico del Molise 20%, which grow in the Ramitello vineyard in Campomarino on clay soils, the vines are on average 10 years old. After manual harvesting at the end of October, the grapes macerate for about a month in contact with the skins. After fermentation and complete malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in wooden barrels and stainless steel. Finally, it is stored in the bottle for at least 6 months.
