The Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves blanc glows intensely light yellow with greenish reflections in the glass. On the nose opens an elegant, aromatic bouquet with fine scents of citrus fruits, especially grapefruit, hints of apricot, fragrant summer flowers and a fresh minerality.
On the palate, this white Frenchman from the Bordeaux is full-bodied and soft, with a harmonious and balanced, terroirtypic freshness, fruity-floral citrus notes, orange peels and lime blossoms. In the long finale a fine mineral reverberation.
Vinification of the Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves blanc Baron Philippe de Rothschild
The Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves blanc by Baron Philippe de Rothschild is more than an elegant brand wine of the Mouton Cadet line. Each of these wines is also a chosen ambassador of his terroir.
The graves are the oldest growing region of Bordeaux. The name of the appellation derives from the gravel and gravel soils prevailing here, on which the grapes can unfold their special, fresh and mineral character.
For the Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves blanc, individual parcels were selected, which were particularly suitable for the production of this prestigious French white wine. The cuvée consists of 77% Sémillon, which gives the wine its fresh minerality, 19% Sauvignon Blanc for the aromatic fruity floral notes, which are supported by 4% Muscadet.
Temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing take place in stainless steel tanks. Here, the wine remains on the fine yeasts for at least four months, which makes it softer and smoother before being bottled.
