More information about Sogno del Sud Nero d'Avola - Baglio Gibellina
The Sogno del Sud Nero d'Avola from the wine-growing region of Sicily is a bright purple-red in the glass. This Baglio Gibellina red wine presents all kinds of blackcurrants, Nashi pears, quinces, blueberries and blackberries on the nose. As if that wasn't already impressive, cocoa beans, dark chocolate and cinnamon are added thanks to the ageing in stainless steel.
The Sogno del Sud Nero d'Avola from Baglio Gibellina is just right for all wine connoisseurs who like it dry. However, it is never austere or brittle, which is by no means a matter of course for a wine in the entry-level range. The texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety on the palate. Thanks to its moderate fruit acidity, Sogno del Sud Nero d'Avola has a soft mouthfeel without lacking freshness. The finish of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Sicily, or more precisely from Sicilia DOC, is ultimately delightful with a good aftertaste.
Vinification of the Baglio Gibellina Sogno del Sud Nero d'Avola
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Merlot. Only first-class grapes were used for this exceptionally balanced single-varietal wine from Baglio Gibellina. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once it has finished, the Sogno del Sud Nero d'Avola can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
