The Tempranillo Joven of Beronia is a strong, varietal red wine from the famous Spanish region of Rioja. 

With a dark cherry red and ruby red reflections, this wine shimmers in the glass. The intense bouquet reveals notes of dark berries (especially blackberry) and notes of liquorice. Thanks to the wood finish, the aromas of the nose are accompanied by nuances of coconut and vanilla.  This Spanish red wine convinces on the palate with its juicy, powerful character and good structure. The wood finish is perfectly integrated and harmonizes wonderfully with the berry fruit fullness. The long finale is accompanied by a cherry touch and cocoa. 

Vinification of Beronia Joven Tempranillo

The Tempranillo grapes for this red wine are carefully picked by hand in mid-October. In the wine cellar, the harvested material is carefully selected and cold mashed for a few days. As a result, first color pigments and tannins are already extracted from the berry skins. 

Temperature-controlled fermentation at 26 degrees Celsius takes place in the stainless steel tank. The yeast storage is repeatedly stirred (Bâtonnage). This gives this wine its wonderful complexity and aroma. The fermentation process is complete after 14 days. 

"mixed" barrels were made especially for the Beronia winery. These are barrels made of both French and American oak. In these barrels, this Spanish red wine is aged for a total of 8 months before bottling. Finally, this red wine rests for another 6 months in the cellar's own bottle store.
