The Terlano Alto Adige/ South Tyrol DOC by Cantina Terlan sparkles straw yellow in the glass with green nuances and unfolds delicious aromas of green apple and white peach accompanied by fine nuance of lemon balm and mint. The fruity notes make this historic cuvée of Cantina Terlan so very lively and soft. The taste is characterized by an elegant interplay of freshness and minerality. Remarkable is the long delicately aromatic finish of this wine.
Vinification for the Terlano Alto Adige/South Tyrol DOC by Cantina Terlan
This cuvée has been produced since the foundation of the winery. Alto Adige Terlano is vinified from the grape varieties Pinot Blanc 60%, Chardonnay 30% and Sauvignon Blanc 10%. The Pinot Blanc, which provides the largest proportion, provides the freshness and the good acidity, while the Chardonnay provides the softness and warmth, while the Sauvignon Blanc complements with fine aroma.
The grapes are picked and selected by hand. The pressing of the whole grapes is followed by the natural clarification of the must by sedimentation, after which the wine is fermented slowly and temperature-controlled in a stainless steel tank. The ageing on the fine yeast takes place over a period of 5 to 7 months for one part in stainless steel tanks (80%) and the other part in large wooden barrels. At the end of the maturation period, the two wines are assembled and bottled
