Volker Eisele 's Terzetto is a fruity red wine cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon (33%), Cabernet Franc (33%) and Merlot (33%).
This red wine stands for the vinification of three classic grape varieties from Bordeaux - none of which should dominate the other grape variety.
In the glass, this wine appears in a deep dark ruby red. The bouquet reveals complex notes of ripe strawberries and juicy black cherries. On the palate, the aromas of the nose are complemented by sweet vanilla and woody notes. The tannins are wonderfully soft and harmonize perfectly with the fruit aroma. This red wine convinces with its balanced, complex character, which leads to a long final.
Vinification of Volker Eisele Terzetto
The grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot) come from different parcels of the Chiles Valley location.
After the grapes have been carefully harvested, they are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. The vanilla and woody nuances are provided by the 24-month ageing in French oak barriques (Ailler and Troncais). This wine is only slightly filtered.
Food recommendation for the Terzetto by Volker Eisele Family Estate
This dry red wine from California is a great accompaniment to barbecues with grilled corn cobs and juicy steaks with herb butter, but also to festive roasts a real treat.
