More information about The Garland - Simonsig

The Garland from Simonsig is a powerful, intense and to the point mature red wine from Stellebosch with an impressive complexity. This red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon shows a dense, dark red color in the glass. The nose is filled with impressive, multi-layered aromas reminiscent of blackberries, fully ripe cherries, sweet plums and notes of cinnamon and vanilla bean. The palate develops a lush mouthfeel with a nice spice of oak and ripe fruit flavors. Youthful, masculine yet soft tannins make for a long-lasting impression with fruit-filled inclusions on the long, dry finish.

Vinification of The Garland by Simonsig from Stellenbosch

The grapes of the Cabernet Sauvignon come from a single vineyard, which is also vinified individually only in particularly good vintages. Due to the 22 months aging in French barrique, the South African red wine has a very good storage potential

Food recommendation for The Garland by Simonsig

Enjoy the strong and spicy red wine, which could mature 22 months in barrique, best on special occasions with your family or good friends. As a companion to menus with dark meat, strong and spicy seasoning, The Garland from Simosig Estate fits perfectly.
