The fruity bouquet reveals intense aromas of juicy blackberries and blueberries, along with ripe plums and blackcurrants. Thanks to the wood finish, the bouquet is underlined by sweet vanilla notes. The fullness of the fruit is also noticeable on the palate and is very well integrated into the juicy body. The velvety soft texture harmonizes wonderfully with the gentle tannin structure. Vinification of Columbia Crest Two Vines Merlot Cabernet
At optimum ripeness, the grapes for this American red wine are harvested and immediately brought to the wine cellar of Columbia Crest. Once there, the harvested material is completely destemmed, ground and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 6 to 10 days. After alcoholic fermentation, this wine undergoes biological acid degradation both in oak barrels and in steel tanks. Finally, this wine matures for about 11 months in wooden barrels of French and American oak (multiple toppings).
