Delegat wines come from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. in 1973, the first Sauvignon Blanc vines of the Delegat family estates were planted here. The climate with long, warm days and nights with cool sea breezes, which are also reflected in the aromas of the wine.
The Awatere Valley in the south of Marlborough is more of the cool and dry sections of the region. Delegat Winery's wines here grow on alluvial gravel and loess soils, making the berries smaller but more concentrated, helping the wine to have a crisp, direct style.
