Ellermann Spiegel – state-of-the-art viticulture on the Wine Route

Ellermann Spiegel is an estate in the Palatinate that you must not miss when looking for exciting wines at fair prices.

Kleinfischlingen is located a few minutes by car south of Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Frank Spiegel has created an estate in the small municipality of Kleinfischlingen that combines state-of-the-art winegrowing technology with a wealth of know-how.

And he brings a lot of that with him. The winemaker trained, among other places, at the legendary Palatinate winery Knipser.

That alone was not enough for the master of Ellermann-Spiegel. That’s why Frank studied viticulture, oenology and cellar technology in Geisenheim and gained experience in Bordeaux.

In 2007 Frank joined his stepfather’s winery and has brought it incredibly far forward in ten years.

“It has to taste good to YOU!” is the motto of Ellermann Spiegel, which alludes to the initials. That may sound banal. The slogan shows that with Ellermann Spiegel in the Palatinate, Frank Spiegel created a winery that does not come across as elitist. Here, taste is what counts!

Frank Spiegel channels his youthful enthusiasm into the “Generation Riesling”, of which he is a member.

Riesling is one of his hobbies. His Pinot Gris as well as his Sauvignon Blanc wines particularly stand out. To match the whites, Ellermann-Spiegel brings out two brilliant red wine cuvées, No Name and Anno XIV, which are a real joy.
