Domaine Cordaillat Origin

Established in the mid-1990s, Domaine Cordaillat has spread its vines across four of the six communes in the Reuilly appellation. An important step was taken in 2017 with the merger with the estate of Pascal Dethune, who took over the management of the newly formed group. The anchoring on the historic soil of Reuilly was confirmed by vines planted in the 1930s. Insecticides and anti-Botrytis are banned. In addition, they have been working for several years on the greening and sustainable cultivation of the soil.

Domaine Cordaillat location and figures

Spread over the departments of Indre and Cher, the Reuilly estate covers 252 hectares. Planted on gentle slopes, the vines thrive on limestone marl soils, overlooked by sunny terraces of sand and gravel. These hillside sites along the banks of the Arnon and Cher rivers ensure the expression of wines with great maturity. Today, the estate produces around 55% Reuilly AOC Blanc (Sauvignon), 25% Reuilly AOC Red (Pinot Noir) and 20% Reuilly AOC Rosé (Pinot Gris). The grape varieties are linked to the terroir and the know-how of the winemakers. Here are a few figures:

  • 260 ha of vines
  • 40 winegrowers
  • Sauvignon
  • Pinot Noir
  • Pinot Gris

Three Cuvées - Three Approaches

The Tradition line - Available in white, rosé and red, these Reuilly offer young, expressive, fresh and delicious wines that are accessible to any palate, non-connoisseur as well as the initiated. It is the entry point to the winery, here you can see very well what is already in the first line and coming to the connoisseur.

The Les Sables line - These white and rosé wines, as the name suggests, come from a particular terroir that is predominantly sandy and are the product of a long working of the soil. This results in fine wines that reflect the minerality of the terroir and will be drunk and appreciated by any wine connoisseur.

TheDagobert line - Available in red and white, this cuvée is the result of a selection of the best plots and controlled ageing in barrels. It is very popular in the gastronomy. Since these wines can support or accompany dishes particularly well.
