Avignonesi - The heart of Montepulciano

On the edge of Tuscany lies the picturesque town of Montepulciano, nestled in a gently rolling landscape and not far from Lake Trasimeno, perched on a hill. When the morning mist is low in autumn, the medieval small town appears like an island in a sea of clouds. In the center of the town one finds Palazzo Avigonesi, built in the 16th century by the aristocratic family of the same name. Its cellars are the core of the warehouses of the Vino Nobile de Montepulciano, known and appreciated beyond the borders of Tuscany.

Vini Santi of the highest class biodynamically vinified

The Tuscan sweet wines of Avignonesigelten according to the opinion of the specialized press as the probably best Vin Santi of the Tuscany. These wines, as well as the flagship, the Vino Nobile de Montepulciano, are produced biodynamically. The entire 140 hectares of vineyards of the Avignonesi winery have been in the certification phase since 2011, which will be completed in 2014.
