Baglio Gibellina

Among the rolling hills that appear red from the fields of Sulla (Hedysarum Coronarium), green from the wheat fields and then golden when the wheat ripens, there are magnificent farmhouses that recall great Roman, Byzantine and Norman estates. Baglio Gibellina dominates the valley and is surrounded by the hills of Salemi and Santa Ninfa. The landscape is dotted with vineyards, olive groves, citrus trees, juniper trees and fichi d'India trees. The blue of the sky and the sea on the horizon form the backdrop to a mixture of colors that are typically Mediterranean. The sunsets that can be observed from the baglio are spectacular, during the night the mixture of lights that extends into the distance enhances the "sound" of silence.
