For three generations, the Bidoli Winery has been run by the founding family with continuity, vision and expertise.

Bidoli Winery - Family-owned for 3 generations
In 1924, the founding father Cavalier Alessandro Bidoli laid the foundations for the family winery in San Daniele del Friuli, home of the famous ham of the same name. His son Giobatta added new ideas and fresh momentum without losing sight of tradition. He succeeded in passing on to his two children the same love and passion for wine and the family business.

A look at the present
Today it is run by Arrigo Bidoli, an oenologist, and Margherita Bidoli, who is responsible for administration and marketing. Together they have turned the family winery into a modern, efficient company working with state-of-the-art technology.
Bidoli masters challenges
The greatest challenge consisted in finding the ideal location for the construction of a new cellar and pressing facility: the company headquarters and production sites are now located on the grounds of one of the oldest decommissioned brickworks in Friuli, characterized by the typical brick chimney and the low red brick building, not far from the vineyards where the grapes ripen. Numerous prizes, awards and recognitions in the international wine world confirm the high quality of Bidoli wines; the very good and consistent price-performance ratio is also a source of pleasure.
The Friuli Grave wine-growing area
The "Friuli Grave" wine-growing area is located in north-eastern Italy in the Friuli region; it is intersected by the Tagliamento River and lies between Pordenone and Udine. The soil is characterized above all by a high proportion of river gravel. During the day, the stones reflect the sunlight, which benefits the ripening of the grapes; at night they radiate the stored warmth. The special soil composition, the favorable climate from the Adriatic, and the protection provided by the Dolomites and the Carnic and Julian Alps are particularly advantageous for viticulture in this region.
The wines are distinguished by racy acidity and fine, intense aromas in the white wines, while the red wines are dense and structured.
The grape varieties
The Bidoli Winery cultivates, among others, the following grape varieties:
- Chardonnay
- Pinot Grigio
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Merlot
