Wines from a significant homeland - Cantina Valdadige

Since 1975, the red, rosé and white wines produced in this region have borne the controlled designation of origin "Denominazione di origine controllata" (DOC). The update of this designation of origin, published in 2014, attests to the excellent quality and popularity of these wines. Nowhere else in Italy is there a comparable area with such a high density of quality. It is therefore hardly surprising that Cantina Valdadige is one of the leading producers of quality wines in Italy. 

At Cantina Valdadige there is something for everyone

There are different requirements when it comes to enjoying wine, and so several wine producers in this region have joined forces to produce wines of varying quality in a shared cooperative winery, the Cantina Valdadige. The wines that come onto the market under the name Valdadige Veronese and enjoy great popularity come from the producer of the same name. 

And the climate? 

The Valdadige growing region extends over the Italian regions of Trentino-South Tyrol and Veneto. The landscape, with its alpine areas and Mediterranean zones, is extremely diverse and thus offers ideal conditions for the production of first-class wines. Thanks to nearby Lake Garda, which has a moderating influence on the climate, this area is dry and warm. The soils are not only sufficiently irrigated and extremely permeable, they are also rich in rock salt and the slopes are abundantly exposed to the sun. This makes them an optimal place for cultivating vines with a unique taste.

The white wine varieties Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay from the producer Cantina Valdadige Veronese are particularly well known and popular. The Pinot Grigio impresses with its golden-yellow hue, its pleasant honey note and its lively acidity. Among the red grape varieties, Merlot stands out. Wine lovers can recognize an intense ruby tone and enjoy an expressive flavor.
