Chateau d'Armailhac

Château d'Armailhac is one of the most famous wineries in southwest France. Since 1933, the medium-sized estate has been wholly owned by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Like Mouton-Rothschild, it is located near Pauillac, near Bordeaux. More than half of the area is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Elegance and delicacy are given to the wines of Château d'Armailhac by the deep gravel soils with clay and limestone subsoil.In the wine production Rothschild pays attention to the traditional and strict methods of quality assurance. The vines are not subjected to any unnatural pressure and only the best specialists are entrusted with the demanding work. Important for the production process is experience, patience and monitoring. For example, the acidity and sugar content of the grapes is controlled in the laboratory.
