Production and grape varieties

Duca del Valentino is at home in Emilia-Romagna - it is produced in the region around Savignano sul Panaro. The municipality lies in the middle of vineyards 19 kilometers southeast of Modena and about 25 kilometers west of Bologna. This is where the grapes for our Italian Spumante ripen. These are harvested by hand at the beginning of September and processed directly in Savignano. Bianco is made from the white Trebbiano grape variety, one of the oldest and most cultivated grape varieties in Italy today. Rosato is made from the Sangiovese grape. This grape is also the basis of wines known as Chianti Classico or Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Emilia Romagna wine region

Duca del Valentino comes from the wine region of Emilia Romagna in north-central Italy. Cooking and pleasure are at home here. Bologna, the region's capital, is home to tortellini, mortadella and Bolognese sauce. The famous Aceto Balsamico and the sparkling wine Lambrusco come from the nearby city of Modena. There are about 60 hectares of vineyards in this wine region. They are spread over the Po Valley and the gentle foothills of the Apennines, where the best sites are located.
