LePlan-Vermeersch

LePlan Vermeersch is the brainchild of former professional racing driver Dirk Vermeersch. He had many dreams, all of which he realized. But one big dream remained at the end of his sports career, a house in the south of France where he could produce wine.

From dream to vocation

When he retired  this dream came true in 1999, the family bought a ruin which they converted into a beautiful house. They set up a B&B in it. Next to the house there was a field with old Carignan vines that attracted attention. Dirk Vermeersch started pruning the vines and working the soil and before he knew it, he was a full-time winemaker. His first wine received 2 stars and 95 points.

Family fever

His daughter took a course in enology on site to learn how to make wine herself. There she met her current husband. Today they work together in the winery.

In 2010, with a heavy heart, the family sold their beautiful house and B&B and built a modern winery in the middle of their vineyards.
