Misty Cove Story

Misty Cove was created by Andrew Bailey, an eccentric, tough Southerner who, just like his wine, has matured into a man who loves life, beautiful moments and, above all, winemaking. Summers spent in Marlborough have awakened his passion for the Misty Coves of the Marlborough Sounds. So much so that he calls this wonderful world home for himself and his winery.

Misty Cove Philosophy

It is often said that wine takes on the characteristics of the personalities that surround it. For Misty Cove, this is a truism that has allowed it to mature from a humble family winery to the full-bodied, endearing winery it has become. Misty Cove vinifies this well-sounding mystique into some very special vintages.
Misty Cove doesn't dwell too much on " faint hints of autumn leaves " and " delicate plum overtures " or even " crisp winter grasses ". You prefer to focus on making good wines that should be shared with a group of like-minded people for optimal enjoyment.
Don't worry, you also make fall foliage and plums. They put a lot of emphasis Misty Cove on making sure the awards you win speak to your passion. This allows you to focus on making top wines for every occasion.

Misty Cove beautiful location

The  is a vast contiguous area of estuaries in the north of the South Island of New Zealand. This network of sea lochs was created over a long period of time by rising sea levels and the resulting flooding of river valleys.

Misty Cove Wines

No other region today is as famous for its Sauvignon Blanc as Marlborough. They are world famous for it here! But that doesn't stop anyone at Misty Cove from growing other grape varieties in the mountain as well. These varieties are for example:
