Mount Gay in Barbados
On the original property on the northern tip of Barbados in the parish of St. Lucy is a small building. It looks like a modest stone shed. Behind the doors is a deep artesian well. This well was first dug by our founders in 1703 and is still in use today. It is the heart of Mount Gay. It provides the core of what makes the rum so unique - our own Barbadian water. It is piped up from coral caves hundreds of feet underground. Finely filtered from the island itself. It provides a proven purity and smoothness not produced anywhere else.
