Prapian

Prapian is a very special place. The vineyards of the winery Prapian in the municipality of Tarzo in the province of Treviso are located three hundred meters above sea level, the soil is very rich in minerals, sunny, blessed with water and protected from the wind. With every harvest, this land surprises the winegrowers with its unique offer.
Millions of years ago this area was underwater; the sea was several meters deep and housed corals and algae that gave rise to the fossils found in the chestnut, beech, elm and oak forests. On a good day you can see as far as the Adriatic Sea and Venice, glittering in the distance, at the end of the plain through which the Monticano, Livenza and Piave rivers flow. All around run paths that cross small streams and pass through wild woods and uneven meadows.
Prapian is one of the most characteristic terroirs of the Tarzo - Valdobbiadene hills, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is located in the core zone, that is, in the area that produces very valuable wines thanks to its slopes.
