The SUD Salice Salentino from Catine San Marzano is a wonderful, full-bodied and balanced red wine cuvée from the Italian wine-growing region of Apulia.

In deep ruby red with dark red reflections, this wine shines in the glass. The intense and spicy bouquet with aromas of black cherry and plum pairs with a distinct herbal note that reflects the Mediterranean climate of the growing region. Soft tannins unfold on the palate embedded in fruit flavors of dark stone fruit. French oak is responsible for the well-integrated wood note, which serves as an excellent counterpart to the Mediterranean herbal flavors. Vinification of the San Marzano SUD Salice Salentino

This cuvée brings together autochthonous varieties, such as the Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes. The grapes undergo a natural grafting process due to the reduction in yield, which is due to the limestone rock soil and the low humus layer. Strong sunlight and warm scirocco protect against pest damage and complete the natural quality of the wines. After vinification, the cuvée is aged for 6 months in French oak.
