Tenuta di Bibbiano - Chianti in fifth generation
The Tenuta di Bibbiano has been in existence for over 900 years. in 1865 it came into the possession of the present owners, the Marrocchesi family. Bibbiano is located in the historic area of Chianti, in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti, overlooking the Val d'Elsa towards the castle of Monteriggioni, in an area where viticulture has Etruscan and then Late Latin origins.
Against the backdrop of this immense natural and human heritage, Bibbiano has been passionately continuing wine and olive growing since 1865, making it vibrant, modern and contemporary thanks to an entrepreneurial tradition that has been handed down from father to son and has now reached the fifth generation, embodied by Tommaso and Federico Marrocchesi Marzi.
The vineyards of Bibbiano
Surrounded by large olive groves with more than 3,000 trees, the Bibbiano vineyards cover a total area of about 30 hectares between 270 and 310 meters above sea level, on slopes that have an enviable position and an excellent microclimate, characterized by clayey sediments of the Pliocene, more or less composite and rich in Alberese rocks.
