Winegrowing tradition in Bissersheim
In the small village of Bissersheim, the name Wageck has stood for quality viticulture for more than a century. Already in the 5th generation, the Wageck winery is managed by Frank and Thomas Pfaffmann in the northern Palatinate.

Goals and philosophy
One of Wageck 's primary goals is to vinify mineral wines whose origin can be tasted in every single sip. Especially with the grape varieties
- Pinot Noir and
- Chardonnay
the Wageck estate succeeds particularly well in bringing out the minerality to the point - thanks to the lime-rich soils.
Wageck always works according to the motto "Quality is created in the vineyard". For this reason, the vineyards were planted with old Pinot Noir and Chardonnay clones from Burgundy, so that low yields are achieved in a natural way.

The sites - Tertiary limestone
The wines of Wageck are characterized by a certain something: finesse. This is achieved through the tertiary limestone sites. In addition to the soil composition, it is also the orientation of the vineyards. The sites Goldberg in Bissersheim and Burgweg in Großkarlbach are oriented to the south, south-east. The best conditions for ripe grapes.

Spontaneity in the wine cellar
In order for the wines to gain a wonderful color and expressive tannins, Wageck relies on spontaneous fermentation of the mash and subsequent aging in large and small wooden barrels for the vinification of the red grapes. The white wines are also fermented spontaneously - partly in stainless steel tanks, half-barrels or barriques.
