The 1921 Primitivo di Manduria Riserva DOP from Varvaglione is a decidedly velvety and complex Italian red wine. In the glass, it already delights the eye with its deep ruby red, at the edges this Primitivo di Manduria also shows a transition to garnet red. If you give it some air in the glass by swirling it, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which shows in church windows at the edge of the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Italy offers wonderfully expressive aromas of prunes, raisins, black cherry and dried fruit, rounded off by oak, black tea and gingerbread spice contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

The powerful 1921 Primitivo di Manduria Riserva from Italy is a single varietal wine made from the Primitivo grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for 18 months in French oak barrels.
