Akoom Areni Reserve trocken - Mijnaberd Alco

With the Mijnaberd Alco Akoom Areni Reserve, a first-class red wine makes its way into the glass. It offers a wonderfully bright ruby-red color. At the rim, there is also a color transition into garnet red. When swirling the glass, this red wine reveals an excellent balance, as it does not appear watery, nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. On the nose, this Mijnaberd Alco red wine reveals all kinds of sour cherries and plums. As if that were not impressive enough, notes of pepper are added thanks to maturation in large wooden casks.

On the palate, the Akoom Areni Reserve from Mijnaberd Alco opens wonderfully dry, firm, and aromatic. On the finish, this matured wine from the Vayots Dzor region finally delights with a lovely length. Once again, hints of sour cherry and plum appear.

Vinification of the Mijnaberd Alco Akoom Areni Reserve

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Areni. Only flawless grape material was used for this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Mijnaberd Alco. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Akoom Areni Reserve is matured for several more months in oak barrels.

Enjoy this red wine from Armenia best at a temperature of 15–18°C as an accompanying wine to a whole range of excellent dishes; it is also a pleasure to drink on its own.
