Areni trocken - Hovaz Wines

The elegant Areni from the hand of Hovaz Wines enters the glass with a bright ruby-red hue. When the glass is tilted slightly, a transition of the color towards garnet red can be seen at the rims. The bouquet of this red wine from Vayots Dzor delights with nuances of sour cherry and raspberry. Following the aromas further, red currant emerges.

On the palate, the Areni from Hovaz Wines opens pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven, and balanced. On the finish, this matured wine from the Vayots Dzor region fascinates with a lovely length. Hints of sour cherry and raspberry reappear.

Vinification of Hovaz Wines Areni

The balanced Areni from Armenia is a varietal wine made from the Areni grape. After being hand-picked, the grapes are promptly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.

Enjoy this red wine from Armenia best served at 15–18°C as an accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes, but it is also a pleasure to drink on its own.
