Winery Áster - So close to the future

With a lot of enthusiasm, knowledge and patience, the idea of a winery in the Ribera del Duero of La Rioja Alta was worked on. Advice was sought from old winemakers and also from professors of viticulture to find the best vineyard and the most outstanding winery. Soils, climates and vines were analyzed.

in 1990 the ideal location was found: Anguix (Burgos). Áster was founded.

Capturing the spirit and character of the Ribera del Duero in the Áster Winery

Nearly 80 hectares of Tinta del País were planted and the Áster winery was equipped with the most modern technology. Year after year, the Áster team acquired more knowledge and improved from harvest to harvest until the goal was achieved: to bottle the special character of Ribera del Duero that can only be found in terroir wines. Each vintage reflects the origin and highlights the characteristic features of the grapes.
