Winery Binigrau in Mallorca
The Binigrau winery has become one of the protagonists of the island of Mallorca. The winery nestles with its charming architecture in the entrance of Biniali, an area rich in tradition, located on a plateau. The wines of Botega Binigrau, nature-friendly and sustainably produced, have become real favorites of the specialized press.

Tradition with ecological wine production respectful of the environment
In the Biniali winery, Binigrau uses the most modern technology to produce its wines, while maintaining some traditional production methods in the processing of the grape. The vines and the entire production are subject to a strict system of environmental and ecological treatment, trying to increase the quality of the grapes while respecting and maintaining the natural development of the plant and the natural balance of the environment. The cultivation is carried out with biological means, using the ancient system of biodynamics in cultivation, pruning and harvesting.

Bodegas Binigrau Mallorca - Majorcan wine
Mallorca has established itself as a fantastic wine producing country. This was not always the case. Although wine has been grown on the Balearic island for centuries, the wines were not of particular importance. It was King Jaume who finally managed to boost Mallorca's viticulture under his rule in the early 13th century. By the 15th century, the island's wines also achieved international recognition. Since phylloxera destroyed the famous French wine-growing areas in the 19th century, Mallorca's great hour struck: for some time Mallorcan wines were in demand as never before. Then in 1891 phylloxera was also in Mallorca and the vineyards were destroyed.
Now, instead of the vines, almond and olive trees were planted and viticulture in Mallorca was largely forgotten - except for a few bodegas that pressed mainly for their own needs. It was only with the advent of tourism in the 1960s that viticulture gradually grew again on the Balearic island, although no longer on such a historic scale as in its heyday in the 19th century.
Today, ambitious winemakers set themselves the goal of creating quality wines. Class instead of mass - according to this motto Mallorca's wines regained their reputation.
