Bisol in Valdobbiadene

One family name - many generations

Bisol was founded in 1542. Five centuries and 21 generations have written together the history of Bisol. A family that expresses its love for the land and wine for centuries.

A short journey through the history of Winery Bisol

Sources dating back to the 16th century attest to the presence of the Bisol family in the heart of Prosecco country. The First World War temporarily interrupted Eliseo Bisol 's business, but thanks to his son Desiderio, Bisol was back in good shape by the mid-1920s.

After World War II, Desiderio - nicknamed Jeio - searched the hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano for the best land for sale. He held on to his dream of creating wines that captured the unique terroir. He gave his children Antonio, Eliseo, Aurelio and Claudio each a different role in the winery.

And today, Gianluca, Antonio 's son, recalls that his grandfather Desiderio and his father always bought the steepest plots, and therefore the most difficult to cultivate. But these were perfect for growing Glera grapes.

"This shows how far-sighted they were and how important the quality of the final product was to them." (Gianluca Bisol)

The Bisol wine cellar

To this day, the Bisol family winery presents itself in all its original details. It is a natural cave carved into the rocky landscape of the Prosecco Superiore heartland. There are constant temperatures between 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. A wine cellar that evokes a charm that only history and tradition can exert.

A magical terroir

There is a perfect balance of microclimatic conditions with constant breezes and an ideal temperature range and sun position. The Glera grapes feel very comfortable on the steep slopes. But this also means that every phase of cultivation and harvesting is done exclusively by hand.

The Bisol sparkling wines

Each of Bisol 's sparkling wines, such as

  • Cartizze
  • Relio
  • Crede
  • Molera

tells its own story of the terroir, the soil and its aromatic diversity.
