Although Bodegas Aragonesas was founded in 1984, actual wine-growing dates back to the year 1145.
Bodegas Aragonesas - A winery inherited from monks
In particular, the cultivation of Garnacha, the autochthonous grape variety of this region. Back then, viticulture was carried out by the Cistercian monks of the Veruela monastery, which is just a stone’s throw from Fuendejalón and Magallón.

This is where the grapes are pampered
This valuable and historic heritage of the region was taken up by the founders of the winery, and the succeeding generations of winegrowers have preserved and expanded it. According to their own statements, the Garnacha is pampered from the field to the cellar – always striving, through careful cultivation and processing, to coax a little more out of the vines. Some vines are over 100 years old, giving the wines a great deal of expressiveness.
