On the west coast of Sicily, on hills at 300–400 m above sea level, grow the vines of Branciforti di Bordonaro. In the area of Trapani, one of the most densely planted regions of Sicily, Branciforti focuses on its strength: traditional, high-quality viticulture with respect for nature. The individual grape varieties are cultivated on suitable terroirs in accordance with their characteristics, and the vinification is carried out specifically tailored to them. A total of 300 hectares in the area around the town of Paceco have now been planted. 570,000 bottles are produced annually.

Branciforti Winery – Tradition on the island
The story of Branciforti with Casa Vinicola Firriato began in 1985 through Salvatore and Vinzia di Gaetano. Although they wanted to produce in a traditional way, they also incorporated Australian production methods into the process. They receive support from Giuseppe Pellegrino, a well-known oenologist. Sustainable growth has ensured that the group now exports to more than 30 countries. Regular awards from critics and magazines confirm their success.

Respect for the grape variety
The clay soils of Sicily provide a home here for several red grape varieties such as Nero d'Avola, and in addition Grillo and Catarratto grow here. The native grape varieties are very much in focus, and a few classics also provide diversity:
- Chardonnay
- Merlot
- Syrah
In addition, a rosé cuvée and a sparkling wine are produced. In the cellar, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and some wines are also aged in barriques.
