Carnivor - Wine from the vineyard Lodi

For your wines, select a large portion of your grapes from Lodi's world-class vineyards. For over 150 years, California's Lodi wine region has been known for its sun-drenched Cabernet Sauvignon or Zinfandel. The warm days and cool nights, of a climate very similar to the Mediterranean, are ideal conditions for growing in Lodi to yield perfect grapes with great natural acidity and fruit-forward characteristics.

Carnivor - Lodi over the years

In Lodi, wine growing began during the famous Gold Rush era. Even during the Prohibition era and the associated  prohibition of alcohol, wine growing flourished in the area. Since the vintners were still allowed to process their grapes into wine for the exceptionally allowed "domestic viticulture". Still today, the same vines are used to make Zinfandel, which is one of the best in the country.
