A dream castle in the middle of the vines
In the wine-growing region of Pouilly-Fume rises Château Nozet, a 19th-century Renaissance chateau set amid one of the largest vineyards in the area. The Lafond family has owned the estate since 1787, which, according to legend, produced Napoleon's favorite white wines. Today, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, a descendant of the Lafond family, runs the De Ladoucette estate. With a winemaker's training, as well as full-time dedication, he led the wines of the house to world fame and acquired other vineyards near Tours, Chablis and Sancerre. Thus, the portfolio of De Ladoucette could be expanded beyond the Pouilly-Fumé wines.
Approximately 1000 hectares of vineyards are De Ladoucette today. 6600 vines per hectare stretch here the Tribespitzen towards the sun. The name Pouilly-Fumé(fumé - smoked) comes from the flint soils of the area, which smoke and produce sparks when they are pounded together. Furthermore, clay, marl and lime are still found in the soil of the vineyards. The flint gives the wines from Pouilly-Fumé a smoky characteristic.

World class from the Loire
The flagship of the estate is the Baron de L., which is vinified only in the best vintages. Today, it is representative of the highest quality wines coming from the Loire region. Ladoucette 's Chablis wines are also special because, unlike the regional tradition, they are not aged in barrels.
With the wines of De Ladoucette they bring home a piece of world class in the bottle. A suitable wine for real connoisseurs and lovers of French winemaking.
Tenute del Barone
In addition to de Ladoucette wines, Baron Patrick has also rediscovered his Italian roots. His grandmother came from the Sicilian dynasty of the Vallombrosas. His fondness for Mediterranean cuisine and its wines eventually led Patrick de Ladoucette to purchase an estate in Tuscany and market them under the name Tenute del Barone.
