The people behind the wine – a passionate story

At the heart of this story is the renowned Lisa Bunn winery, founded by Lisa Bunn and Bastian Strebel. In 2011, the operation was created through the merging of two family-owned wineries – today, Lisa and Bastian cultivate around 21 hectares of vines with passion and foresight.
But it’s not just about the vineyard size – it’s about philosophy. Here, grapes are harvested by hand, spontaneously fermented, matured in small and large oak barrels, and undergo long aging on full lees.
Carefully, quietly, and with a vision: to produce wines that are honest – grown in nature, gently matured in the cellar, and imbued with personality. The homeland of the grape – the great adventure of Rheinhessen

Let us immerse ourselves in the charming face of viticulture – the Rheinhessen wine region, Germany’s largest and perhaps one of the most exciting wine regions. Here, in the fertile heart of the country, gently rolling hills, ancient vineyards, and special terroirs stretch out. At Lisa Bunn Winery, there is a focus on the famous steep slopes of Roter Hang near Nierstein – notably the plots “Hipping,” “Oelberg,” and “Orbel”.
Typical for the region: an interplay of a warm microclimate, plenty of sun, and high-quality soils – red slate, limestone, loess, and clay give the wines tension, depth, and mineral character.
