The province of Languedoc in the south of France, and with it also the Domaine de Belle Mare, is one of the great, classic wine-growing regions.

Domaine Belle Mare - Great and small wines from the best homeland

About one third of French grapes thrive here and some of the best and highest-quality wines in France are produced. You can find Domaine de Belle Mare in Mèze, southwest of the well-known seaside resort of Sète. The estate is located at the river mouth of the Étang de Thau. On a total of 68 hectares, vines for varietal wines and cuvées are cultivated. However, the specialty of Domaine de Belle Mare is a fine white wine made from the local grape variety called Picpul de Pinet. It is distinguished by subtle fruit and floral aromas. The domaine of course also vinifies globally widespread grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay as well as the red wine varieties Merlot and Syrah with great skill and masterly expertise.

Domaine de Belle Mare - Languedoc wines at their finest

No more than six people work hand in hand at Domaine de Belle Mare. The highly motivated winemakers of the domaine possess great craftsmanship. Widely known grape varieties are brought together here with exotic vines, creating typical Languedoc wines with that certain something. Chardonnay, for example, is blended with Viognier and Roussanne. This creates a Le Rivage Blanc with aromas of honey, apricots and dried fruits. The red wines of Domaine de Belle Mare are also special. Le Rivage Rouge, for instance, is a cuvée of Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a dark, purple-red color and intense aromas of red berries and fruits, spices, cocoa and caramel.

Nature is always d'accord with Domaine de Belle Mare

Typical of the wines of this small French winery is its excellent and consumer-friendly price-pleasure ratio. And this, even though a great deal of work in the vineyards and in the cellar is done by hand. Here, nature has the highest priority; this is the philosophy of the small team. The approach of the winemakers at Domaine de Belle Mare is as traditional as it is experimental, and they always make sure that their work is carried out in harmony with nature. The vineyards stretch idyllically along a lagoon on the shore of the Étang de Thau. Here in the south of France the vines receive particularly abundant sunshine. Thanks to the fresh sea breezes, however, the grapes are optimally cooled. Optimal wine-growing conditions that you can taste.
